While going through folders of photos on my laptop, I stumbled upon photos of me with my friends enjoying a simple dinner together that reminded us of home… tuyo!
The only stinky food I love to bits… presenting dried salt fish or simply tuyo. Plainly fry it in oil then pair it with newly cooked jasmine rice plus tomato with cane vinegar on the side --- oh, heaven!
Because it is next to impossible to find an Asian Store selling this type of dried salt fish, whenever I fly to the Philippines for a vacation, my mom buys loads of this because she knows it’s my favorite. Thinking about this while looking at the photo is enough to make me crave for dried salt fish now. It’s a shame that Sweden and Philippines are oceans away. *sigh*
