Fridays have always been the busiest day of every week for us working in the kitchen and yesterday has not been an exception. With overflowing order receipts, there wasn’t enough room for us to take a pause. We were both tired but happy knowing that we pulled it off. Food were cooked in time and orders left the kitchen in a very orderly manner. The hotel and sports bar guests were satisfied and so were we! Oh yeah. I LOVE MY JOB a lot!
Two and a half hours before the kitchen closes --- quite a pile of tickets we had… so far! We encountered no issue with our receipt printer throughout the entire service which was awesome!

It was at around 8.30PM when my tummy started growling. Hungry as a lion, I fixed myself dinner [photo below]. Unfortunately, I had no time to eat. Drank my cold soda, threw away the fries [*sad face*] but instead of putting the burger in the trash, I wrapped it in foil, took it home with me and had it microwaved for a few seconds [too lazy to reheat it in the oven]. Very late dinner but still very yummy!
Ta-dah! The dinner that went cold!
Hamburger with cheese, bacon, hamburger dressing and smoky hickory sauce [… and yes. I forgot to add some veggies!] plus fries and a glass of cold Pepsi.
Ooops. It’s almost midnight and I need to wake up early tomorrow. Must be at work before 8AM for the breakfast buffet for our beloved hotel guests. So, ciao for now! Time to hug the pillow and force myself to sleep.
